Grief Brain Haikus
Giant wave of sorrow
on day of new beginning,
makes room for what comes.
My eyes fill, with what.
How can I be excited
and so sad at once?
The place I leave now
holds the imprints of a love.
I must bear to go.
I ask for courage
as the wave breaks overhead.
This is death. And life.
