Honoring Elders in Vilcabamba
In the Vilcabamba Plaza, in front of the green and pink church, displays honor the elders in what is called the Valley of Longevity. The guide Sergio, who took me on horses up the mountain to the waterfall yesterday, told me about his grandfather, who died at age 129 of the flu and worked every day of his life. I honor the elders of Vilcabamba.
